Vrettakos Alexandros
Vrettakos Alexander was born in 1964 in Kozani, where he lives today. He works as a physical education teacher and basketball coach. He studied photography at the Novi-Sad Serbia in the years 1986-89. He taught photography at NELE IEK Kozani and the '90s. In 2002 created in collaboration with the Municipality of Kozani the Photographic Workshop LED where the last six years teaches analog and digital photography. It has the potential of sixteen solo exhibitions.
It deals mainly with black and white photo and drawing questions from street photography. Displays and prints the photos of himself because he believes that the whole process of shooting ends only after the transfer of the final image on paper. The photos do not do digital masking operations only when printing, using his hands. Since 2002 dealing with digital photography making several experiments to better understand the potential of digital imaging. Simultaneously continues the classic anthropocentric image of street photographers of the last century and believes that life is somewhere out there, between sky and sea, mountains and streets, where they found the man and the light!
